trying to find something
I've been in this scrapping funk for too long now, I'm desperate to get back into my groove, find my style, recapture my inspiration, whatever it is that I've lost. I did another layout this afternoon, very simple, but it took me over an hour!! Simple is good too, right? I just feel that I need to do more, particularly when I have on my CTM hat, to do a good job for Trish. But I just can not clutter up my layouts, and I just don't think I do a good job at using the elements that I buy. Papers are great, but I fail miserably at Embellishments 101. I'll keep at it (like the little engine that could) and try not to compare my layouts to the amazing (and often complex, multi-layered) creations of the other gals on the team.

So for now I am giving myself permission to be a simple scrapper. again. sigh.

First off - both these layouts are gorgeous, I love the little drawings you scaned in from Isaiah (yes I had to look how to spell it LOL)
What do I love about that layout -
#1 The photo is just plain adorable.
#2 The scanned drawings are da bomb!
#3 Placement baby! I LOVE how you use papers, you cut them up, you move them around, you make it very pleasing to the eye my dear.
#5 The title is fantastic, great font choice.
I cannot comment on the journaling cause I cannot read it LOL
Perfect layout.
Layout #2 (god I hope I don't mix your daughters names up)
#1 The photo of Grace is again totally adorable. I want her hair!
#2 I love the dots down the side of the pic, the stripes on the other side.
#3 YOUR LAYOUTS JUST PLAIN RAWK!
DEB I KNOW IT IS HARD - but your work is awesome, I honestly love your layouts, stop comparing yourself to everyone else and look in your heart as to WHY you are scrapping!!!!
Enough said!
