lookee what I got

Now, I am someone who had no need or desire to own an mp3 player. I don't listen to music on-the-go, and have been pretty annoyed by the lack of legally downloadable music for Australians (poor service and selection, really!).

BUT

Dad showed me his mp3 gizmo a few weeks ago, the thing he got to transfer his old vinyl records onto cd! This thing does it (direct encoding from external source to mp3, then download to computer and burn to cd)! So, I thought that would be a good idea, and even convinced Ray (much easier than I thought!) We ordered it locally, and it came today. Though I had a shock when Ray brought it in, and it was totally different to the one I thought I had ordered - Dad's is old technology already! Check it out here if you're interested.



Pretty darn cool, eh? I think I got it set up this afternoon, ran out of time to really play around with it. Maybe tomorrow (...sigh...). Gotta scoot to get dinner ready and organise for scrapbooking tonight. Later.
