end of day
tired tired tired
I always get like this when we go over the mountain. Shopping with six kids is exhausting at the best of times, let alone with two hours of driving across the mountain as well. Anyway, we had a great visit with James and Steph - James threw some snags on the barbie, followed by a box of icecreams. James showed me over his computer, he finally has it up and running, and I helped them to set up the iPod that Steph won - how cool is that! These are their two dogs, Kaiser (a Staffordshire Terrier, quite insane, but a sweet pussycat who just loved the kids) and Meg (a Queensland Cattledog/Blue Heeler, very sweet but not very well-mannered). They had to be tied up while we had the bbq going, or they would have been jumping all over us and the food LOL.

I can feel an early night coming up, or at least a curl up in bed with my electric blanket on and finishing my Scarpetta novel, while the wind continues to howl around the house. And saying a prayer or two for those in the path of Hurricane Katrina.
