This house is still full of snot and coughs - Kate seems to be getting worse, and may need to get back to the doctor tomorrow. I didn't get as far on my walk this morning as yesterday - I thought it was just morning stiffness that I would walk off by the end of the driveway, but I probably was more flu-ish than I realised. Still, some walking is better than no walking. I'm just generally aching all over, headachy and coughing up stuff I will not describe.
Ray and I saw our first snake for the season when we walked down to move the cattle yesterday - dammit! Beautiful sunny spring day, he was coiled around a clump of thistle sunning himself - a red-bellied black snake! He was pretty sluggish, but made me re-iterate to the kids about why we don't go down to the water (apart from the drowning risk): water supply + long grass + frogs = snake territory
I managed to scrap today: simple, simple, simple. I have been pondering my scrappin' style, and have decided that my need for clean and simple, uncluttered scrapbook pages stems from my ultra messy and cluttered life! I have just about given up fighting the mess in the house - with six kids and homeschooling, life is messy. But I guess, mentally, I cannot bring myself to create a visual clutter - this is the one area of my life that I can control, so I will embrace the simple scrapper within! LOL

I managed to work out the freebie PSE action for creating chipboard elements from Atomic Cupcake - so proud of myself LOL - to make the [2] elements, the rest is from the charity kit Come Together by Carrie Stephens and Michelle Coleman.
And there are some sweet new goodies at Scrapbook-Elements (I haven't shopped there in a while)
Gorgeous colours and floral patterns again from Kay Miller, she seems to alternate her style of kits, this Sweet Moments kit would be so versatile.

Ronnie McCray has a distinctive style, and her kits are so unique and refreshing! Get Soaked has a summery theme, but is playful and a bit whimsical, it just looks fun!

And I pondered this one for half the day before I bought it! Kelly Shultz's Bloom just looks so chatterboxy to me, I love the colour combinations and the flowers - lots of layouts in this one!

I really hesitated buying this, because I was uncertain of the file size (it was 122 meg): I do appreciate the stores that list this information in the description - being on dial-up, I won't buy huge kits as it can become too stressful to be downloading for 3-5 hours for a kit, wondering if there is a glitch that will cause the file to be corrupted and necessitate another 3-5 hour download! And many stores only offer cd-burning service for US customers, which leaves the poor international sods on dial-up out in the cold. End of whinge! LOL
