busy Friday (again)
Into town early to see the doctor, my bp went way up too, which is disappointing after having it working its way down over the past 6 weeks - maybe I just don't like going to see the doctor! Did a bit of shopping, and picked up the prints of our Christmas card - and the processor had cropped it ever so slightly and off-centre too! I was so disappointed, but a week before Christmas, there isn't much to do about it.
The hairdresser was here when I got home, doing the boys' haircuts - they look nice and neat again, and Ray looks about 10 years younger! At least they will look presentable over Christmas.
Spent about 3 hours after lunch addressing and adding notes to the christmas-postcards, and dashed back into town to post them - and the Post Office had run out of stamps! This is so funny, we live in a small country town, but we aren't that far out in the sticks! LOL They had a big box of mail they were going to put through the franking machine after closing, so at least our Christmas mail is on its way. One job I can cross off the list!
Bought fish and chips and came home to give the kids early dinner so we could get to our little local school's concert. I love little country schools, and if we weren't homeschooling, this little school would be exactly the kind of place I would love my kids to be - it truly is only a short step from being like a big family (there were 22 students this year). So we had a lovely night, Santa came and gave the kids books - what else would Santa bring for schoolish gifts? It's nice to feel that we are getting to know a few people around the place, and the kids enjoyed seeing kids they know up on the stage.
Dad and Ros are coming to visit tomorrow, to wish Ray happy birthday - they can't come Sunday as they have commitments to their Church this week. And tomorrow afternoon we also have a dress rehearsal for our Sunday School concert (this Sunday). That's gonna be a fun one to swing, but maybe Grandpa can come watch the rehearsal, as he won't be there for the actual concert.
We have made a date with the kids to go around town on Monday night to check out the Christmas lights (there were even a couple of beautifully done houses on our way home from the hall tonight). And Wednesday night is a special Church service in town, as well as Christmas Eve Carol Service, so the week is going to get pretty crazy!
And I still need to wrap the pressies!

Busy, busy lady!!! I feel tired just reading all that you have happening! Sorry about the bp - maybe after Christmas will be better for that!
I have a tonne of presents to wrap too - I'm not looking forward to it!!
Wrap as you go, that's what I say ... until last night! I was holding a dvd in my hand trying to remember whether I had already bought it or not, lol! Enjoy the lights! :)
