HOT!!
I'm still struggling with this flu, still in my chest and threatening to move up into my head, but at least the achey-pain has gone - if I could just get some sleep, I'm sure it would help my body's natural healing. I have downed so much water (and tea) today, I'm sure I can hear it sloshing about inside as I walk. But that's a good thing - eh?
Today was HOT - it got to 39C (102F) with a foul north wind before a slight change mid-afternoon, when the wind changed round to the south and gentled some. We spent less than two hours at the local pool, but a few of the kids still managed to get a little pinked on the cheeks, and Grace's eyes are bothering her too. I know they will want to go to the pool tomorrow - it is expected to be even HOTTER - but I think it will be a stay home and not move about too much kinda day.
We bought Michael back to stay overnight (he was at the pool too), and we dined al fresco. Well, we ate on the picnic table on the back patio - al fresco just sounds so much better! Thank goodness for salads in the fridge and sausages on the bbq. It was almost pleasant outside, but it took much longer to cool down inside the house.
Ignore the towels on the clothesline, drying from the pool this afternoon. The kids stayed up until about 9pm, it was just too stuffy to send them inside to bed earlier than that. It's cooled down now, all the doors and windows are open, trying to chill the house before the heat of tomorrow.
We don't have any plans for New Year's Eve, we never do anything actually, we're such boring old farts. I have a couple of scrapping projects planned, I just wish I felt like starting them. Maybe tomorrow, before it gets too hot - maybe.

Hope you feel better soon!! I'm with you on the too hot feelings!, its beginning to warm up here....although its a bit cooler here today than it was yesterday. We planned to eat alfresco last night - but it was so hot out we ate in.......lol
