one of those days

No walk this morning, it was raining when the alarm went off, so I just laid in bed a while longer and listened to the cockatoos squabling in the gum tree out front, trying to shelter from the rain. After breakfast, loaded the kids into the van at 8.30 for the first trip into town, Ray taking the ute in to get the brakes adjusted, leave the ute and bring Ray home.

Back into town at 9.30 to get my bp checked again, and do the shopping. Grabbed the local paper and a triple pack of Stamping and Papercraft (I only ever buy it like this, so 3 issues for $10 is okay). Home just before 11am, unpack car, put shopping away, have a cuppa. It is seriously getting warm and humid outside.

Get lunch, organise some bills to be paid, paperwork to take to the bank, and back into town at 2pm. First bank, second bank (get caught for a half-hour with the customer service person, they have to try to sell you some service, fill their quota for the month), third bank, pay some bills at the Post Office, check out vanity units at the hardware store, go to the library, home at 4.30!! In need of a cuppa, its really sticky and hot - kids had an icy pole from the freezer.

Then its time to get dinner (picked the first lettuce from the garden to make salad - yay!), clean up, get the kids to bed after Survivor. Seriously pooped. Early night coming up. Maybe I'll scrap tomorrow.
