Monday night scrapping

Just as well we have scheduled this time to scrap, or I wouldn't get any pages done at the moment, I am in one king-size slump. Trish chose a couple of pages from Ali Edwards' Designer's Eye book again, and worked on pages for her sister's wedding album. I managed the first layout (the one with the cows) but was falling asleep over the keyboard by 10pm, so hit the sack, and had a go at the second one today.

This was a scraplift of the layout on page 161, a double spread by Tina Barriscale. I don't often manage 2-page layouts, so I cut it back to one page easily. I used papers and elements from Carrie Stephens' Virtue freebie (and yes, I'm pleased with myself for managing to use another kit from my stash so soon after acquisition!) I am determined that Ray won't turn these animals into pets, as he did the last lot we sent to market, it was just too painful. It's not personal, it's business!

The second layout started off as a scraplift of page 91 (a double layout by Joy Bohon), honestly it did, but it took off in another direction altogether, but that's what these scraplift sessions are all about, just getting that inspirational nudge. It ended up very simple, just papers from Trish and Dawn's That's Hawt cd (I tried really hard to add more bits and bobs, and just couldn't, but simple is good too, right?). Tried out a new font I just got by Kelly Purkey called Inspiration, just love the messy handwriting look to it (bought it at ScrapSupply).
