Applying for Creative Teams is a bit like submitting stuff to magazines - the same excitement and hope, and the same shattering disappointment when you don't get a call. I don't really want to be on a whole list of teams, I think I would struggle to do justice to the designers, and my loyalties would be split, which is not a good thing. I only ever apply for a designer whose work I really like, if I believe I could do justice to her designs. So I don't apply for very many, and usually do so at the last possible minute, because I do the 'yes, I will'-'no, I won't' debate to death before I actually decide to apply. And I guess I don't have that much faith in my scrapping abilities, and try to avoid the inevitable rejection note as much as possible.
Here's the layout I did to apply for Meredith Fenwick's team - I didn't get a place, by the way.

We are all sunburned! Try as I might to keep us covered and sunscreened, the kids faces are glowing, and I caught a bit under my chin today (ouchie). I had a rotten headache by the time we came home, just too much sun. Still three more days of swimming lessons to go.

The water in our tank has gone off - when we got home this weekend we thought it was pong-y so switched over to town water (we are fortunate that we have this option). Ray climbed up and checked it today, and it appears to be sporting a bit of algae, so will have to be drained and cleaned. He has phoned around today, and organised construction of a lid for the tank, which will keep the water clean and prevent this in the future. It will cost about $1300, but should last 30 years, by which time I won't really care if the lid caves in LOL.

It's raining! Ray is clumping around on the roof emptying leaves and crud out of the gutters like he always does when it hasn't rained in a while. It smells so wonderful on the parched ground. What a shame we won't be able to drink the lovely fresh water! It's been so hot and humid the past few days, a couple of cooler days would be quite acceptable, even with swimming lessons.

I've been working on a chatty cathy challenge goodie for Digiscrap Divas over the past few days, finally got it finished but can't get it uploaded yet - I started the challenge off anyway! The details are here if you want to be in this one.

I need to wash my hair. I really want to scrap, but with this headache, I think I'll just blob on the couch and watch another episode of Stargate (yay!)

I know what you mean about the Design Team business.... but I'm getting used to rejection!! I think your layout is just beautiful anyway! :)
I think your layout is very cool! Sorry you didn't get on the CT. I'd definately want you on mine if I was a designer!!
Your kit is lovely - I like the colour and the pretty floral design.
