warm Monday

Yep, you can definitely feel that Summer is coming. Rather warm today before a cloudy change that felt like rain, but didn't. The kids learned that the local pool opened at the weekend, so I must have been asked at least twice by each of them if we could go - it really wasn't that hot, and I can only imagine how cold the water would be. I need to get our family season's pass for the pool organised, and book the kids for VicSwim lessons in January.

I love finding little surprises like this on my digital camera . . .

And I couldn't resist this! I saw him at a friend's house, and then noticed another version - Spud Trooper - in the BigW catalogue, so I went online and found him at dStore, and he's on his way.

Kind of nothing much today, but I got a photo of this beautiful rose - it climbs the verandah post outside the study window (where the computer is), but has only a few blooms this year - I had to prune it back heavily last summer as it was badly infected with black spot, so hopefully it will pick up soon.
