ready to be an egger

It seems the 'eggers' have really struck a chord in the online digiscrapping community. I kinda did a little "yay" when I first read the blog. There wasn't anything there that I hadn't already told myself a hundred times, but it is so refreshing to hear it somewhere else (other than in my head, that is). It's good to know that I'm not the only one struggling to be the Mum, wife, daughter, sister, woman I feel that I should be and could be. I'm not the only one who feels a bit alone, or dorky, invisible, unnoticed or unloved (online and offline too). I will be an egger, an encourager, I will quit pretending and be real.

"Be an Egger. Laugh out loud. Scrap an unbalanced layout. Blog what's on YOUR heart and YOUR mind - even it means you might offend someone. Reach out to someone who needs reaching out to. Post in a forum. Leave a comment on a layout you like - simply because you like it - without expecting praise back to one of your layouts. Let us see the real you. Appreciate the real you. Keep it REAL. Keep it Eggin." (from the egger blog)

So here is my eggy layout - I will keep challenging myself to quit worrying about what anyone else thinks, and do what comes from me, live intuitively, be real. Fat and greying and unfit and cranky. Purple hair and daggy clothes. Yay for me.

At 40 ~ I care less about what people think of me, and more about what I think about me. I care less about doing what people expect me to do, and more about doing what is right for me. I care less about things, and more about people. I can be more me.

oh, and if you would like the 'bouquets' kit, you can get it here (not sure if Amy got it the other night with the server issues at SBB - naughty Jen Wilson fans LOL) - preview for the kit is in the previous post. And if you download it, be a good egg and leave me a comment to let me know you like it - I need some love too . . . hugs to all who drop by.
